Day 6 at the farm. Big day! Got a ton of things done. We took out a portion of fence in the orchard that was put in by my Grandpa Dop. Most of the hedge posts were broken, the ones that weren't, we had to saw off. We were amazed how tough it was to pull out the woven wire. It was buried about 6 inches in dirt. Videos below.
Jake from Knoxville Raceway Tire (not State Farm!) came out and replaced both big tires and one front on the tractor. They look great! He tried to install the other trailer tire, but I buggered up the lug nut so bad, he couldn't get it off. I'll need to find someone in the area who has a cutting torch the next time we're down.
As soon as he left, we were back to work. We pulled a bunch of steel posts down by the old barn used to be. We then went after the John Deere two row corn picker. It was more of a challenge than we expected. Video below. Because of where I hooked on to it and how, we could not get the log chain off after getting it to its final resting place. We finished up the day by pulling out some home made hog feeders and I put the trailer away.
